EuroCloud President Bernd Becker announced the winners of EuroCloud Award 2014, during opening ceremony of EuroCloud Congress at the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce on the 30^th of September.

50 cloud solutions winners of local contest in 12 countries were registered to EuroCloud Awards 2014 final.

Four award winning solutions from 4 categories of national contest represented Romania in the EuroCloud final :

• 4PSA with VoipNow Cloud on Demand – Best SaaS service
• BigStep – Best IaaS/PaaS service
• Marketizator – Most innovative cloud start-up 
• Ymens with National Registry of Patients with Rheumatoid Poly-arthritis – Best Cloud Service for Public Sector

According EuroCloud Congress announcement, the independent international Cloud Jury honored Romanian company Ymens with “Best Cloud Service Public Sector”  for his National Registry project.  The Romanian Registry of Rheumatic Diseases Association and Ymens company have developed and implemented a national cloud system designed for file stream automation with respect to patients with rheumatoid poly-arthritis. In the one year of use, this software solution has served over 4,000 patients across the country and increased efficiency, speed and accuracy of the approval stream for ten biologic therapies.

It is a pleasant to add, a second Romanian Cloud project BigStep Full Metal CLoud was awarded with second prize in “Best IaaS/PaaS Service” category. Bigstep Full Metal Cloud is a high-performance IaaS solution for big data applications. It is fully scalable but uses no hypervisor, so it provides all the power of bare metal and the flexibility of the cloud, which makes it the highest performance for public cloud.
